# Atento · Governo

> Unofficial monitor of the communiqués, news items and speeches published on the Portuguese
> Government's portal (portugal.gov.pt). It records every change made to an item after it was
> published (the text, who it is attributed to, its area, people and tags), checking each item
> again over the following days and the whole portal every 45 min. Portuguese-language content.
> Not affiliated with the Government.

How to read the data:

- "published_at" is the portal's own publication time (UTC). "updated_at" is when the portal last
  saved the item, as Sitecore reports it: the reliable sign that something was edited.
- "first_seen_at" is when this site first saw the item, within about 45 min of it appearing. Items
  already published when monitoring began have "time_known": false, and only "published_at" is theirs.
- "edited": true means the text differed in a later capture. Article pages show the changed words
  with a little context; the text itself is never republished here, so link to the original ("url").
- "job_title" is who the item is attributed to, as the portal writes it ("Ministro da Defesa
  Nacional"). Areas, officials and tags come from the portal, and changes to them are recorded too.

areas, tags and the content of the items belong to the Government and are not covered by that licence.
